Not big, but fun - oil paintings
For decades I have photographed the world around me. Most of them end up in the ether of an image library and get barely seen again. Some are very unusual and spark an inspiration that goes beyond the actual visible world. On top of that, I have now come across a technique in oil (called glazing) that I could imagined doing myself.
Painting on (mount) board, in oil, using a glaze medium to get the paint smooth - nothing is too precious to start with, and yet so very calming that it is encouraging to do more.
Love it.
